Lord, I can do nothing without You. But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philipians 4:13).

Love Makes Life Divine

He told me that our first rendezvous brought him a glint of happiness. Unfortunately, I can't even recall! I can only remember the plethora of his patience. The reminiscence of how he patiently solicited my favor makes me feel so important, so loved. I can't remember how many times I've rejected him but despite the countless brush offs, he remained constantly impulsive and maintained his pursuit. This gentleman didn't keep me privy to his emotional nuances. Yes, I've received tons of letter from him but only for the waste bin to read their contents and intentions. He never stopped until I could feel his love in his missives. The experience of his courtship was something that is truly elusive.

What a destiny! Love reigns supreme.

It was sometime in March or April 1998 (during Kareen's graduation dinner) when I finally realized how charming he is. I could perfectly remember how his white Lee t-shirt, straight cut jeans and his Martens hi-cut brown boots flattered his slim athletic built. Undeniably attractive! He also wore delicately sweet and refreshing scented perfume that blended well with the beer aroma. Seductive, I must admit!
I pretended I didn't notice him but his bad boy aura was just seemingly impossible to resist. Again, remembering his patience inflated my pride. I was quite complacent not knowing that his patience will come to an end. He came close to quitting his courtship. Nevertheless, he still attempted to ask me for the last time to approve his wooing via telephone. It was indeed an ultimatum! At first, I was quite hesitant as it was so informal and I felt not respected but I was reminded of the hardships he had patiently endured for the past eight years. Suddenly, I found myself tilting to the proximity of that ultimatum...
So, yes! This happened a week after he visited the church of St. Jude. He simply prayed for a partner and be blessed with an ideal relationship. He didn't mention me in his prayer but having me a week after was far from what he expected. He was so thankful for the prayer granted through the intercession of Saint Jude. Since then, the latter became his favorite saint.

Unlike other first dates ours was just a casual chit-chat at the corner of Sancho Panza and F. Cayco St. in Sampaloc, Manila...then it led to a second date followed by a serious relationship and eventually marriage.

I found a very loving, transparent, spontaneous not flirty man. I felt the sense of profound contentment in his embrace. He is such a wonderful partner, a great father to our precious conjugal possession, our children. He is the truest friend I've ever had in all these years. He is the man I would want to marry again and again!

Having photography session with our eldest Dayne at Queen Elizabeth Park. Is there anything more joyful than Dayne's sweet smile?

Nescafe Candle Holder

I made candle holders for our anniversary dinner date. I just love custom touches and details.

An empty Nescafe bottle turned into candle holder.

You can use clean empty bottle you might have at home, put you any desirable picture inside or simple embellishments and voila you've got yourself a customized candle holder.

Can't wait to share our anniversary photos.

DIY Personalized Napkin Ring

This month we're celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary and we are planning to have a simple dinner date at home.

I made these napkin rings that will somehow create a loving anniversary spirit.

You need:

- lace or any fabric covering
- scissors
- glue and glue stick
- paper towel holder
- magazine/newspaper cut-out letters

  • Cut the paper towel holder at any desired size.
  • Attach your name at the middle portion of the cardboard using magazine or newspaper cut-out letters. This is optional.
  • Cut the lace (just enough to cover the cardboard).
  • Wrap the lace around the cardboard and glue it inside the ring.
  • Insert napkin
You too can make your anniversary special when there is practically no budget in sight.

DIY Masquerade Mask

I've been spending more time in the last three weeks nursing Lukas and I hardly pay particular notice to Dayne's needs. Yesterday, I've decided to spend more time with her. I felt like I'm missing a lot of updates in her schooling.
I absolutely love it when I get that helpful husband who nurses Lukas for awhile.

At school, she was selected to be the narrator of the play Romeo and Juliet and she was also asked to make her own masquerade mask using only a cardboard. Doing DIY projects is seemingly a perfect situation to create a  bonding time.

Cardboard
Lace or any fabric coverings
Barbeque stick
Ribbons
Glue sticks/ tape
Scissors
Embellishments such as rhinestones, feathers, glitters, etc.

Mother-daughter bonding time is the greatest!
